van life

There's a part of me that wants to exist in this world free from the typical everyday expectations of what we 'should do'. I think this feeling may resinate with many people but the truth is to actually bite the bullet and choose the 'wildlife' is a lot harder then we imagine. I admire those of us who take the first step to pursue this burning desire. Foster Huntington is one of them. Why work for things we don't really need when we can live a life with much less, this thought is with me always.

surf safari

I'm off to Spain in a few weeks, Basque Country to be exact. Although life in Italy is blissful and the weather has been incredible I am missing the Australian surf beaches I love so much. First on my list is Zarauz, rumoured to be one of the best surf beaches of the region. Im so excited to explore this very unique part of Europe. So as I prepare my week long surfing safari here's some inspiration to get you in the mood.

miss marant

I was lucky enough to attend a buying trip to Paris in June and a highlight was the Isabel Marant Printemps 2013 collection. As a long time admirer of Isabel Marant I hoped I would meet the lady herself. Unfortunately Isabel did not attend but the atmosphere within the showroom and her dedicated staff more than made up for it. She was undeniably present in every element of the clothing.

The Isabel Marant Showroom, a rustic white, warehouse style building with glass ceiling.

Directions to the closest store to purchase my well deserved dickie boots.

The entrance was calm and crisp with white flowers and a delicious selection of finger food and cool drinks.

The room was buzzing with buyers from all over, models paraded the collections as we worked our way through the pieces.

an italian summer

i arrived in italy in February and have been craving a good dose of sunshine and salt water.

the days menu, Santa Margherita is known for its genovese pesto and fresh foccacia, a typical beach snack. A must try when visiting the ligurian region are the Portofino prawns and Spaghetti vongole.
